La Filature

1999

A detective pulls up to a dark, abandoned location. No witnesses. No noise. Just the beam of a flashlight cutting through the black. What happened here, and who doesn't want it found?

La Filature was shot over two nights in an industrial district on the outskirts of the city. The challenge was to build suspense through light alone, no dialogue, no score, just the rhythm of a man moving through darkness. Every frame was lit with a single practical source: the detective's own flashlight. A study in restraint and dread.
